Duties and Responsibilities

A Cleaner is responsible for ensuring that designated facility areas are cleaned, stocked, and supplied according to standards. They perform routine inspections, carry out heavy cleaning tasks, and report any deficiencies or needs for repairs to management. Other duties and responsibilities may include:

• Cleaning and maintaining floors, walls, windows, and surfaces
• Dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and polishing surfaces
• Cleaning and disinfecting restroom facilities
• Cleaning and maintaining supply rooms
• Cooperating with other staff members
• Following all health and safety regulations

Skills

A Cleaner should possess the following skills:

• Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
• Integrity
