Job Title: Security Officer

Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, a mix of day and night shifts throughout the week including the weekend
Pay: £23,615 per annum

We have an exciting opportunity for a Security Officer to join our team on a permanent basis. This position is well-suited to an experienced officer who can work alone as well as part of a team, and is looking to gain experience within a healthcare setting.

Job Role:
• To provide a professional frontline security service to deal with any aggressive patients/visitors as necessary.
• To assist with the responsibilities for car park management on the site, providing directions to visitors.
• Investigate reported security incidents taking action as appropriate in compliance with current policies, codes of practice, guidelines and legislation.
• Undertake regular patrols of the hospital site internally and externally including car parks.
• Ensure specified doors are locked / unlocked as required.
• Respond to requests for assistance in controlling and restraining, violent or aggressive persons or anyone undertaking any actions that may put any person at risk on trust premises.
• Deal appropriately with persons who are violent, aggressive or undertaking any actions that may put any person at risk.

The Successful Candidate

The ideal candidate will have good negotiation skills and possess a customer focussed approach. This role is subject to Enhanced DBS disclosure.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
• SIA licence
• General School Education
• Security Related Qualification or relevant experience
• Conflict resolution/physical intervention training
• Experience of conflict management, violence and aggression
